The kids started school again today. Brendan is in Ms. Austin's 2nd Grade class, Randalyn is in Mrs. Cox's 4th Grade class...in my old 5th grade classroom, Trystan started 8th Grade his last year at Cedar Middle School, and Morgan is a Junior at Cedar High School. Our summer went by quickly, but I think the kids were ready to go back for at least the social life of school. The older ones wouldn't let me take their picture this year...said they are too old for the 1st day of school pics...what's up with that?
We learned when we went for the back to school check ups, that Brendan needed glasses. Poor kid...got the bad eye genes like the rest of us. Randalyn however was able to see 20/15! Guess she is the lucky one as far as eyes are concerned.
Randalyn did however get started on her Orthodontic work...can't see it in the picture, but she has a spreader on the roof of her mouth, and will have braces by the time school starts next year! She may have gotten the good eye gene, but she sure didn't get the good teeth.
